      Originating in China , Cermasite Sand is a revolutionary new artificial foundry sand, now highly regarded as an excellent substitute for chromite sand and zircon sand in the foundry and petroleum industries. Made from bauxite, it is heat resistant, cheaper to produce and use, environmentally friendly, while offering improved performance based upon a better refractory rating, lower specific gravity, and higher levels of AL 2 O 3 in its composition. It is used as single sand, eliminating the need to mix other sands, and can be reclaimed many more times than previously used sand. This raw material is processed into a tiny solid ball shape with a ultra-smooth surface. The characteristic properties of ceramsite provide better air permeability and overall dispersion in its application, producing greater industrial yields. For example, when used in an oil well deeper than 2,000 meters, the oil production rate will increase up to 3 times.

      Ceramite production process

      Product ceramsite generally using the production process of raw material homogenization, granulation, baking, cooling. According to the type and characteristics of raw materials, Its granulating process can be divided into the following kinds:

      1. Plastic method technology: Suitable for clay and clayey material.
      Its process: clay - plasticizing, smoothing of roller and granulating - roasting - cooling - finished products.
